John Sutherland
(Northern District) Born 1821, the son of James Sutherland and Charlotte MacRonald; left because of ill health, 8th April 1843, but, with health restored, went to Blairs and ordained a priest there, 15th March 1846; canon and provost of the Aberdeen chapter; died in Huntly, 7th January, 1894.

According to Church records, John Sutherland was baptised on 16th August 1822 in St Mary's with St Peter's, Aberdeen. Christine Johnson has his place of ordination as Preshome.

The Rev. John Sutherland, born on the 4th August 1822, was educated at Blairs and Valladolid; and was ordained, on the 16th of March 1846, by the Right Rev. Dr Kyle at Preshome, where he is at present stationed.
